After trusting a local shop owner in Zahle to send money to her ailing mother, Ghanaian domestic worker Priscilla Appiah has spent over a year and a half fighting to recover the $810 he never transferred. Despite repeated promises and partial repayment, $410 remains unpaid.
After eight years of silence, advocacy finally secured Ruth Odima the $900 she was owed—proof that for many workers in Lebanon, justice comes through pressure, not the courts.
