Issa Serhan owes Kenyan worker Monica Wangari $900 in unpaid wages, admitted he couldn’t pay her, and shockingly told the agent he could “sell her or do what he wanted with her.”
Advocacy efforts by This Is Lebanon and other organisations lead to Darma finally being allowed to go home.
Our Story
This Is Lebanon started to give a voice to domestic workers. Less than two years later we became the hotline for domestic workers in Lebanon.
