Fekr, an Ethiopian domestic worker in Lebanon, died in January 2021 after 40 months working for her employers, the Sanadikis, who withheld her wages for years and refused to send her home when she fell ill despite her family's pleas. She was buried in Lebanon and is still owed $3,050 in unpaid salary.
